PRODUCTION
We can help point a project in the right direction. This is subjective and is, in the end, the client’s creative decision. We can offer suggestions or even try experimenting. Anything can be added or removed to the will of the client. Most of the time this service takes place up to the editing phase but can end up going all the way to mixing. Again, we are only here to assist in making what is best for the client.
TRACKING
We can track anything audio into a tangible format.
RE-AMPING
We can can take a prior recording of a direct input for guitar and re-record through different amps and effects pedals. This is very useful for musicians that have the capability to record DI at their own leisure. Once the perfect take is there, we can send the DI through our equipment to get a desired tone.
QUANTIZING
This is a very tedious and time consuming process depending on the genre of music. Attention to detail is what really separates a professional product from a sub-par one. This is the process of aligning waveform transients to a specific tempo or “grid.” Preferably this is only done on non polyphonic sources such as drums and percussion.
EDITING
Again, this is a time consuming process where attention to detail is key. Quantizing is in fact a portion of the editing process. While it is not a glamorous task, it is very necessary to yield a high quality product.
MIXING
WE LOVE MIXING!! This is really where all the hard work starts to pay off and there is visible light at the end of the tunnel. There are a lot of resources available here from Sony, Waves and Avid to help achieve the desired end result.
